HYGIENIZATION

This is a dental procedure that is a cornerstone of oral health. It should be performed whenever a semi-annual check-up reveals tartar or plaque. The procedure is performed by a qualified dental hygienist.

Such treatment prevents:

  • periodontal diseases
  • tooth decay
  • bad breath
  • aesthetic deterioration

The treatment includes:

  • scaling: mechanical ultrasonic or, in special cases, manual removal of permanent supragingival and subgingival deposits
  • sandblasting + polishing: smoothing of tooth surfaces
  • fluoridation: mineralization and remineralization of enamel, resulting in the prevention or elimination of already existing hypersensitivity
  • oral hygiene instruction, during which we select means and accessories, preparations to prevent bad breath.

The treatment can be supplemented with whitening to further enhance the aesthetics of the cleaned teeth.
